Effective treatment for all allergies is not possible if we are not sure to which allergens we are allergic to. We can check this by using allergy tests. The allergy tests can be ordered by allergist.
Allergy tests can be ordered by an allergist. If diagnosis regards inhalant allergy – the tests should be made outside of the pollination period. The reason is simple: before making the allergy tests we have to stop taking all anti-allergic drugs. This is simply not possible in the middle of allergy season. The best time for taking these tests is autumn: October and November.
Tests for food or contact allergies can be taken during the whole year. However, we have to remember to stop taking anti-allergic drugs before undergoing the tests.
